A bus slat designed and produced by Springfield resident Tony Jirik, owner of Advertising Production Service. The advertisement is for the 1964 presidential campaign of Barry Goldwater, a Republican Senator from Arizona who was in office 1953 to 1965. The ad features a drawing of Goldwater along with the phrase, "A profile in courage..." His campaign for the presidency would prove unsuccessful, losing to incumbent Democratic President Lyndon B. Johnson.
